July 1^st Check-In & Opening Ceremony

Player/coach check-in will begin at 3:00 PM at the Hilton Denver Center City.  To avoid long lines, teams will check in based on the schedule below.  No player should arrive later than 5:00 PM to pick up his gear.  Each player needs to pick up his gear personally.  Parents, coaches or teammates cannot pick up gear for any other player.  The World Series Opening Ceremony for players and families will begin promptly at 6:00 PM, also at the Hilton Denver City Center.

ESPN Player Interviews – July 2^nd & 3^rd

Our ESPN crew will be on-site during the weekend at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.  They will be conducting short interviews with every player in the event.  Select footage will be used during the live broadcast of the Championship Game on July 4. The TV producers refer to this interview format as a “car wash” as they need to get a tremendous volume of interviews done in a very efficient manner. To make this happen, we ask each team to congregate and line up by the WSYL Productions Tent at DSGP according to the schedule below:

July 3^rd Banquet Tickets

The World Series of Youth Lacrosse Banquet will take place at Magness Arena at the University of Denver on Wednesday July 3^rd from 5-8:30 PM. Dress Code: Coat & Tie preferred. The Banquet is included in the registration for all players and up to 3 coaches per team. These tickets will be distributed during team check-in.  Parents, siblings, additional coaches, and team staff can purchase tickets at the following prices: $60 for ages 6 & older; $30 for ages 5 and under. Please CLICK HERE to purchase Banquet tickets.   Banquet tickets must be purchased by Monday June 24^th. There are a limited number of tickets due to space restrictions at Magness Arena, so please do not wait to purchase your tickets.

All tickets that are purchased can be picked up at Will Call during player check-in.

  

Team Photos

Prior to the WSYL Banquet all teams will gather at the Golden Spire and be escorted to Ciber Field to assemble for Team Photos. Parents will be directed into Magness Arena for the Banquet. Coats and ties are preferred for Team Photos. This photo session is closed to the public with no outside photography permitted.

Players/parents will be able to order either an 8 x 10 or 16 x 20 Team Photo.  A link will be sent early next week for pre-orders.  Orders will also be accepted throughout the event. Team Photos will be sent to one team manager/contact shortly after the event.  We recommend that teams identify this person prior to the event and provide us with their contact info and address at team check-in on July 1. During the photo sessions at the stadium, we ask that coaches stick with their teams to help get the players lined up and appear with the team in the photo. The Team Photo schedule is included in the Official WSYL Program.

July 4^th WSYL Championship Game

The World Series of Youth Lacrosse Championship Game will be played on July 4 at 3:00 PM MT/5:00 PM ET.  It will be broadcast live on ESPN2. Please remember to tell your friends and family to tune in from home. Our pre-game and halftime show will include footage from the entire event, not just the Championship Game, so there is a chance your team will make an appearance on national TV. Please also remember to DVR the game, as ESPN will not release the rights to the game film for us to distribute to parents. The 3:00 PM local game time will also allow teams plenty of time to get from Dick’s Sporting Goods Park to Peter Barton Stadium at the University of Denver – and hopefully grab a shower and lunch in between.

Each player and up to 3 coaches will receive tickets to the Championship Game on July 4. We are anticipating a sellout crowd and space will be limited so please do not wait until gameday to purchase your tickets.  Parents will have exclusive access to tickets until June 19 at which time they go on sale to the general public.

Game & Highlight Film

In order to capture every moment of this year’s Championship Series, the World Series of Youth Lacrosse has partnered with Next Level Video to film every game of the event at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park (except the Championship Game). Photography

This year we will again be partnering with Action Shooters, the official photographers of the WSYL.  Attached is a brochure from Action Shooters, which will help you find the best package for your family.  Teams and/or families should contact Action Shooters directly to arrange for their games to be photographed at the event (player or team).  Please note, Action Shooters will not be taking orders at the event. You must pre-order your photo package before the event to make sure your son’s games are adequately photographed. Action Shooters will be on-site at Dick's Sporting Goods Park and Peter Barton Stadium throughout the Championship Series. The game schedules and team rosters have also been posted to our website – CLICK HERE to view. Please verify that your son’s jersey number is correct – he will only be permitted to use one jersey # throughout the event to ensure proper record-keeping of statistics. In addition to the information provided in this email, there will also be a printed itinerary in the program that will be handed out for everyone at the Opening Ceremony.
